Bloggers Recognition Award

Hello Everyone!

I have been kindly nominated for the Bloggers Recognition Award by fellow-blogger – shivashishspeaks. His amazing blog is a reflection of his thoughts on life – its intricacies, its anomalies – and he mostly chooses to convey that through stories, which always carry a moral. Be sure to check his blog out.

Thank you so much Shivashish for this honor. This is my first nomination of this kind and I hope that in the future I can live up to the expectations and faith that the blogging community has shown in me.

So the rules of nomination are –

1. Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog.

2. Write a post to show your award.

3. Give a brief story of how your blog started.

4. Give two pieces of advice to new bloggers.

5. Select 15 other bloggers you want to give this award to.

6. Comment on each blog and let them know you have nominated them & provide the link to the post you created.

I think I’ve already accomplished points 1 & 2, so lets get on with point 3.

The Story of How This Blog Came About –

Three besties with their brood of kids were lamenting how life was bogging them down. One of them was me. We had lengthy discussions that day on how we should work on ourselves because family and our responsibilities were taking a toll on us. It wasn’t about building a career, it was just about finding ourselves again. And that day we swore that we would start a creative endeavor to help us vent, help us hone our skills,  and to let us be ‘us’. The very next day I sat down with  my laptop and created a profile on WP and wrote my first piece. And that’s how this blog came about 🙂

Two Pieces of Advice to Newbie Bloggers –

I’ll give you three. Its the 3 C’s –

Content, Constancy and Contacts

Content – Work on your content. It should engage the reader and it should reflect your passion. It shouldn’t be copied and it definitely should not be plagiarised. Your content is what will attract your readers and keep them with you. So make sure that your content stays on top of your blogging priorities.

Constancy – It means that you should keep blogging regularly. You should decide the number of times you will post in a week or day based on your time constraints, but you should mostly stick to a schedule, excepting emergencies. That way your readers will know that you’re a bankable person and your blog is not a time-pass.

Contacts – While the above two are predominantly what make your blog great, growth is promised only through contacts. As a newcomer, join other blogs, make as many connections and when you do like or comment on their work, please be faithful, not fraudulent and frivolous. Above all, cherish your connections and always be grateful for the followers you have.

  1. Congratulations ma’am!
Your advice points were excellent and hopefully will inspire others to give the effort and time required to make their blogs successful.
Thanks a lot for nominating me. However, I’d have to apologize since I don’t do awards and chain posts. Sorry for the awkwardness.
Looking forward to more high-quality content from your blog. 😊

  2. Thank you for the nomination!
But, to be honest there are way more better people who deserves this kind of appreciations, though I really appreciate the thought of nominating me for the same :).
And yeah, I’m still struggling with WordPress; I mean I’m trying to learn things with this website as it really sucks in terms of functioning and stuff so I won’t be able to nominate other people and all the related stuff.
But would you mind if I share how I started blogging, here only?

    • I understand what you mean… Sometimes WP gives me headaches as well but till I buy my own domain, this is the best there is.

As for people more deserving than you… No. There’s a reason why I nominated all those who I did nominate. And it’s because their blog is either fantastic or it has promise and yours has both. 😊

Please do share your story. I’d love to know how and why you writer about the things you write about ☺️

      • Thank you so much, that’s really kind of you to think it that way :).

So, I’m a 21 year old guy and being a student of literature I love reading and writing things. So, most of the stuff that I write has all came out of experiences(some were mine and some belongs to other) as I was into theatre activities so I lived many people’s life as I spent time with those kids who are basically “Rag Pickers”, with those “Acid attack fighters” so I have seen so many things and I use to post my stuff on Facebook and Instagram and some of the people suggested to start a blog. Meanwhile, I for a while joined a corporate organization but I hated every moment there, so I started exploring the internet, you know food, diets, animals etc., though they had restrictions on almost every website so that people can’t access any other thing other than work. One day I was sitting at my desk and had completed the so called work, so I thought of checking if WordPress can be accessed or not but luckily it opened and was working fine, so I created an account and it took me whole day to customize the website and setting things up. WordPress is the only website that is accessible from the computer systems provided by the company, they might never had thought that someone would like to go for these kind of websites in that particular company;p.
And that’s how I started passing my time in office, I started reading people and reaching them with words.
Though I haven’t posted much of the stuff but there are too many generous people around who appreciated the work and were kind enough to follow my blog.

Again, thank you much for this!

  3. Congratulations Pradita. ❤
It’s great to know how you started out this blog. How a conventional discussion can give rise to an unconventional venture, amazing.
Hope your blog keeps on flourishing this way. 🙂
