Resisting Chocolate

via Daily Prompt: Resist

A while back I was arguing with my husband about how I am trying my level best to lose weight, even with the time and health constraints I have. I think I’ve mentioned in this post how I had a knee injury that has left me less than whole and keeps coming back to trouble me. He was not convinced (typical!). But more importantly, he pointed out how even my diet wasn’t in line. I had to retort! I have abandoned things like chips, cookies, cakes, ghee, butter, sugar (except in coffee and tea that I take each only once in the day), ice creams and other confectioneries.

He heard me out and then said –


Oh Puhleeeze! What about chocolates? I see you feasting on those Hershey’s Miniatures everyday!!


Ummm, he got me there πŸ˜₯


What can I do?

I can’t resist them!!

I mean who in their right minds can? Can you??


Don’t you go like this when you see them,


You’re on a diet?




Or Like this?




I mean, just look at all that gooey, molten, other-worldly, chocolaty goodness!




How can you resist it?




No you cannot!




I agree completely with Boromir!


So, just give in,

And save yourself some heart and tummy ache πŸ˜€

    But I never face this problem
    Since last one year my weight is constant
    I eat everything except nonveg
    Because of hostel life I have to take rice , samosa , bhathoore , 3-4paneer , almost all types of parathas but still weight is constant πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  2. ‘Chocolatay’ might help you with your health complications and quality “darks” do not necessarily multiply your fats. I primarily hope you get fitter (without a single health constraint) quickly with time though, God bless.

Chocolate is bae your so right no matter what I can’t stop myself from eating chocolate or having Nutella aaahhhh honestly if your having the miniatures I guess it’s ok and once someone limits the foods they eat they could still loose weight and not worrying about starvation of not eating what they love love your post x

    • Thanks a lot. While I do agree with you that chocolates are ‘the’ thing, the trouble with people my age and with my problems is that it becomes difficult to lose weight if you keep indulging yourself on a daily basis, which sadly is what I do. Glad you liked my post. Keep coming πŸ™‚

  6. Well, such is our plight, the ones seeking to lose weight! I have found that water helps. And even other snacks, healthier ones like sprouts. You have to control the mind though, most of all.The rest falls in line automatically. And if the craving gets out of control, a small bar never hurts. Just be sure to burn those calories the next time you work out. Easy peasy! πŸ˜€
