Instant messaging, Instant pics,
Instant coffee, Instant cakes,
Instant meals, Instant mails,
Instant loans, Instant sales.
Instant marriage, Instant love,
Instant arguments, Instant divorce,
Instant life, Instant doom,
Instant success, instantly fooled!
Life is naught now,
But a string of instant instances,
Where forsaken lies,
Our will to live, to strive,
Convoluted stands,
The meaning of time.
Time’s value gained,
At labour’s cost,
Happy halcyon days,
Of the past are lost.
What once took days,
Now spans minutes,
The fruit of care and toil,
Reduced to mere seconds.
Hear now, there may come,
Yet a time, friend,
When you & I must turn to dust, then,
An instant prayer, o’er our bodies said,
Then meet the maker we must,
And answer him for our haste.
He gave us time ample,
Then why must we race?
Life’s wealth lies in simple yearnings,
Not in wasteful chase.

Beautiful Pradita. So true in today’s time, where everyone wants everything instantly.Patience is a lost virtue. It’s always a race against time. The simple joys seem to be forgotten. Enjoyed reading it dear💙😊

Wonderful poem again.
Yet again you emphasize why we mustn’t waste the chance to slow down and enjoy life. 👏

Oh yes… I’m a sloth and I love to go at my pace and I hate those who unnecessarily complicate things for themselves and for everyone else. We must slow down our pace to savour life instead of just letting it whizz past us. What do you think?

Of course we need to cherish the moments we have. I mean, running after the things we desire is what modern life is all about and it isn’t entirely wrong but yes, we do need to enjoy life too.

Yep. There should be a balance between the two but unfortunately our atmosphere has become so competitive that we’re forced into being Rats or sheep even when we’re sloths 😊

It’s good to be back, reading you again.

The poem is delightful, and your images are great, too. Thanks for recommending it on Ellie Haretuku’s blog. Meditating on God is very important.

Thank you so much. Yes, meditating on God and meditating on what should really mean in our life, is what our goal should be.
