Guest Post Fridays: A Life Worth Living For

What change do we see in you
Now that you want us to change?
Do you practice what you preach
Now that you want us to follow?

Why do you brandish to be, know all
That we suppose, you are not?
What process did you follow to
Perfect as you want us to believe?

How come children run shy of you
While you want to boss on, poor us?
Let us be, what we think, we will be
Not what you think, you want us to be?

Donโ€™t you see the glitter that gleams in us
Every change in us, a life worth living for?

With the above piece, we have officially begun with the Guest Post Fridays series. The invitation to contribute an article, poem or art is open to everyone.

  1. This one has a lot of the angst that you mentioned in that poem of yours. And I also found it similar in theme to the song Heathens (used in the film Suicide Squad). societal pressure to blend in is such a difficult and unfair thing.
Excellent poem. Thanks for sharing. ๐Ÿ™‚
