Hello Dear Readers,
I know I’ve been MIA for some time. Trust me, if I could help it I would have been here with you, replying to your comments and reading your own posts, but as they say, ‘Life happens’, and so it has been with me for this past one week too. However, I’m here to bring you a great heartwarming and inspiring story for this month’s WATWB contribution.
The #WATWB hosts this month are – Shilpa Garg, Inderpreet Uppal, Sylvia Stein, Susan Scott, Andrea Michaels and Damyanti Biswas. Please head over to their blogs to read their stories of love, compassion, kindness and brotherhood. To participate in the #WATWB, please click here and enter your link.
Now onto the story –
Mr. Sameer Hassan is an ordinary corporate employee in Bengaluru, and he runs an organisation by the name of Share a Smile that is dedicated to making disadvantaged children and neglected people happy. They don’t have a prefered section of society that they provide help too. They only seek to help anyone who is in need of assistance – an orphanage, children suffering from Cancer, AIDS, abandoned elderly people, or lost or abused children.
Mr. Hassan’s organisation is actively involved in bringing aid to lesser-known and less established NGO’s, pairing up with them to target sections of population who may not have the means to, for example, receive an education, or pay for their medical expenses. But at the heart of his organisation’s efforts lies the simple motto – spread love and kindness – implemented by giving time to those who need help, providing them with not only financial support but also emotional. Most of the volunteers at the organisation are working individuals who dedicate their weekends to helping out in the organisation’s aid programmes. Inspiring, isn’t it, how one man with a simple motto could bring so much happiness to so many? We too can bring happiness to many by one simple deed at a time. Who says you need a superhero to save the world?
Have a Great Friday!
