Sound familiar, rookie blogger?
This was me and my first post. I was devastated. I kept staring at the screen, mouth agape, oscillating between chucking my laptop out of the window and giving up on blogging altogether or writing another blog post.
But what do you write when your first post gets such abysmal response?
We are discussing the three pieces of advice for newbie bloggers this week on The Perfectly Imperfect Bunch Blog. My fellow bloggers Grabbety andSmita have already given you sound advice on the topic and I don’t know what else to add. My dear, that’s because I reblogged it from another blog site that I contribute articles to. When you reblog an article from another blog, only a part of it appears on your own blog. For the rest of it, you have to visit the original blog. I hope this cleared the confusion 😉

What a beautiful post. I have exactly same thoughts on leaving blank about me page. Its like your own voice that explains your existence in blogging world. Only sorted people pay attention to it.
In the end, if you have something worth reading you’ll get noticed and visited. Maybe little late but it’ll happen.
I’m happy you chose to write on mistakes. Great thought, Pradita. You’re a great writer, it’s always worth reading your post.

Wow! Such praise from an excellent blogger like you is high praise indeed. Yes, you ought to pay attention to all those helpful ‘starter pages’ (as I like to call them ) that WP offers. I’ve only recently begun to appreciate what a fantastic platform WP is. There’s a wealth of features it has to offer in even their free plans. Why not utilize them?

WP is way ahead of blogspot, the other popular blogging platform in so many ways. For one the reader makes it so much easier to read other blogs and then you can even follow up few other blogs by tags.

That’s true. Initially I’d contemplated making my blog on blogspot, but I was appalled at how primitive the blogs looked.

Great advice. We often neglect the marketing part. What’s the fun in writing if there are no readers?
